Summer is the perfect time to watch exciting thoroughbred racing – and at St. John’s University’s annual Brunch at Belmont event, over 270 alumni and friends did just that.
Hosted by The Peter J. Tobin College of Business Alumni Association (TCBAA), guests enjoyed delicious food at the Turf and Field Club at Belmont Park while reminiscing with old friends. Once the races began, alumni placed their bets and cheered on their favorite horses. Afterwards, a group of alumni went down to the winner’s circle and held up a St. John’s banner with the winning jockey.
“This brunch gets bigger and better every year,” said Desiree Henry ’10MBA, Assistant Director, Office of Alumni Relations. “We enjoyed a record attendance this year, with alumni guests of all ages. They displayed so much St. John’s pride, and everyone had a blast!”
