School Spirit Initiative for Basketball Season

St. John’s University’s Office of Human Resources is excited to share two opportunities from the Department of Athletics and bring back a school spirit initiative for employees on basketball game days.

Employee Offers from Athletics

• Women’s Basketball single game discount tickets: Women's Basketball Games

• Men’s Basketball single game discount tickets: Men's Basketball Games

• Employees get 15 percent off the purchase of Madison Square Garden-Only Plans for Men’s Basketball Games.

• Employees’ children 12 years of age and under get perks for joining the Junior Johnnies Kids Club.

Show Your School Spirit

Employees are invited to dress down and wear St. John’s University apparel on basketball game days this season. Add the Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball team schedules to your calendars so you always know when they’re playing.

Please note: This is voluntary. Several departments have uniform requirements and may be unable to participate. Employees in those areas should consult with their supervisors to confirm whether dressing down is permitted.
If you choose to dress down on game days, please follow these guidelines:

• Wear St. John’s University apparel: Cheer on our athletes and show your school spirit by wearing St. John’s University gear. Remember, employees always get 10 percent off at the Campus Store with a valid StormCard.
   

• Follow workplace attire standards: Even when dressing down, your appearance should be clean, neat, and appropriate for the workplace.  
   

• When in doubt, dress professionally: There may be business meetings or events on game days where professional attire is still expected. If you are uncertain whether dressing down is appropriate on a particular game day, ask your supervisor or err on the side of professional dress.
