- Mission Driven Research Grant Opportunity for Faculty at St. John’s University – DEADLINE Friday, March 13, 2026
The Faculty Research Consortium (FRC), part of the Office of University Mission Initiatives, offers five exciting opportunities to recognize full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty members at St. John’s University who are particularly dedicated to our University’s Catholic and Vincentian mission.
The Richard and Camille Sinatra Endowment Grant–Junior Faculty Grant is a grant intended to support full-time junior (tenure-track) faculty who have developed a community partner collaboration and who now seek to evaluate an intervention/program designed to make changes in the community and address a clearly articulated research question. Grant recipients receive $2,500 per grant for the grant cycle that runs from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027. The application deadline is Friday, March 13, 2026. Apply now.
The Faculty Research Consortium Grant–Tenured Faculty Grant is a grant intended to support full-time tenured faculty who have developed a community partner collaboration and who now seek to evaluate an intervention/program designed to make changes in the community and address a clearly articulated research question. The FRC Outcomes-Based Community Research Fellowship Program is a 24-month program for tenured/tenure-track faculty that will provide guidance and mentorship on the development of outcomes-based community research conducted through a Vincentian lens starting in the fall. The FRC will review all faculty applications received by the deadline and select its Fellow class, which will be recognized at the annual FRC Faculty Research Luncheon as part of Founder’s Week. Award recipients will receive a $1,000 stipend upon completion of the program and up to $1,500 for their research project needs. The application deadline is Friday, March 13, 2026. Apply now.
The FRC Faculty Excellence Award in Community-Based Outcomes and Poverty Research annually identifies an exemplar from the full-time faculty who best exhibits excellence in community-based outcomes and poverty research. The FRC will review all nominations received by the deadline and select one award recipient, who will be recognized at the annual FRC Faculty Research Luncheon as part of Founder’s Week. The award recipient will receive $1,000 and a commemorative plaque. The application deadline is Friday, April 17, 2026. Apply now.
The FRC Faculty Excellence Award in Vincentian Social Justice is intended to annually identify an exemplar from the full-time faculty who best exhibits excellence in social justice and qualitative research and creative domains. The FRC will review all nominations received by the deadline and select one award recipient, who will be recognized at the annual FRC Faculty Research Luncheon as part of Founder’s Week. The award recipient will receive $1,000 and a commemorative plaque. The application deadline is Friday, April 17, 2026. Nominate or apply now.
