- Office of Mission Initiatives
The Office of Mission Initiatives is dedicated to the ensuring our Catholic identity after the manner of St. Vincent de Paul, who based his ministry on preparing faithful leaders and helping those in need. To guide students throughout their careers, St. John’s prepares its faculty, staff, and administrators for this crucial work.
Mission integration and engagement—the intentional incorporation of Catholic and Vincentian values, identity, and charism into academics, programs, policies, and daily interactions—reveals how the University mission is actively lived and experienced. These efforts deepen understanding of the University’s mission, vision, and heritage while promoting personal growth, enhanced academic experience, service, social justice, and ethical leadership.
Being a force for good is what St. John’s is all about. Our graduates use their time and talents to make our world a better place. As a Catholic and Vincentian university, faith is an integral part of this effort. We encourage students to strengthen their faith, and to value, respect, and support all religious traditions.
