2023-24 Parking Permits

As the 2023–24 academic year approaches, please note that commuter student, faculty, and employee parking permits can be ordered online by logging into your UIS account, effective August 1. Select the Personal Information tab and then Parking Permit Application.

Reserve permit holders must apply in person at the Department of Public Safety office (in room 107 of the ROTC building, which is located outside Gate 6 on Goethals Avenue), Monday through Friday during business hours. Resident students will receive information on the resident permit lottery from Residence Life.

Rearview Mirror Hangtag
This permit consists of one yearly hangtag that must be displayed on the vehicle’s rearview mirror with the assigned number facing out and clearly visible. If the permit is left in a different vehicle or not brought to campus, a temporary paper hangtag must be obtained from the Department of Public Safety (in the ROTC building) or at the security information booth (located inside Gate 1). Please note that if your rearview mirror or a tinted windshield is designed in a way to impede this type of display, you are responsible for ensuring it is hung from the mirror in such a way to make it clearly visible (e.g., by a rope or string).
