Executive Vice President, Sports Sales, FOX Sports Media Group
Neil Mulcahy was appointed Executive Vice President, Sports Sales in December 2005. In this role, Mulcahy leads the FOX Sports advertising sales team that provides advertisers and marketers access to the premier sports properties on television. He joined the company as Manager, Sales Proposals in 1987 after beginning his television career at CBS in 1981 in the company's mailroom. He is widely regarded as one of the most affable and respected sales executives in the industry.
Based in New York, Mulcahy is responsible for the advertising sales across the FOX Sports Media Group (FSMG), FSMG holds broadcast rights for Major League Baseball, NASCAR, National Football League, Fox College Spots, Ultimate Fighting Championship, USGA, Westminster Properties,, FS1 and FS2, FOX Deportes to name a few.
He was previously Senior Vice President, Eastern Sales, National Sales Promotions, Late Night and FOX.com Sales. He simultaneously held an Executive Vice President position with Fox Entertainment Group, focusing on cross platform sales and marketing. Mulcahy joined FOX in November and, in April 1989, was named Account Executive. He was promoted to Vice President, Sales Development in November 1993 and was named a Group Sales Executive in March 1996. In May 1998, he was named Senior Vice President, National Promotions, Specials and Internet Sales.
Mulcahy is very active in a multitude of charitable organizations. Currently, he works very closely with Ocean of Love an Ocean County, NJ-based charity that assists children diagnosed with cancer and their families, SUTC, City of Hope -funding Dr. Steven Forman’s Research.
Mulcahy is a graduate of St. John’s University, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Arts. He currently resides in Toms River, New Jersey with his wife Helen, they are proud parents of three children and four grandchildren.
