Alan D. Schnitzer to be Honored as 2022 Insurance Leader of the Year

Alan D. Schnitzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Travelers Companies, Inc., to be Honored by The Peter J. Tobin College Of Business at St. John’s University as The Maurice R. Greenberg School Of Risk Management, Insurance And Actuarial Science’s “2022 Insurance Leader Of The Year”

New York, NY (September 12, 2022) – St. John’s University’s Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science (GSRM), part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, will honor Alan D. Schnitzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travelers, as the “2022 Insurance Leader of the Year” at its 27th Annual Insurance Leader of the Year Award Dinner. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Proceeds from the dinner will support the University’s GSRM students and programs.

The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science (GSRM) was founded in 1901 as the Insurance Society of New York and over the years evolved into The College of Insurance (TCI). In June of 2001, TCI merged with St. John’s University, becoming part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
