Poets&Quants for Undergrads, the leading online publication for undergraduate business education news, recognized the improved undergraduate business program at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University by moving it up from #54 to 38 in its sixth annual list of “Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2022.”
“The jump is testimony to the transformative impact of a Tobin College educational experience,” said Norean R. Sharpe, Ph.D., Dean of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business and Joseph H. and Maria C. Schwartz Distinguished Chair. “The ongoing improvement in the undergraduate business program is due to having a clear set of strategic priorities and recruiting faculty who are strong in both teaching and research.”
The methodology used by Poets&Quants places equal weight on three segments of a business program that are critical measures used to determine the quality of the educational experience: admission standards, career outcomes, and the full academic experience as judged by recent alumni.
According to Poets&Quants, the 2022 rankings are “based on a representative survey of over 5,400 alumni and school-reported data. Recent graduates across the 95 schools were surveyed on aspects of faculty availability, extracurricular opportunities, and accessibility of the alumni network.”
With an expansion of alumni and corporate partnerships, combined with strong academics and innovative learning inside and outside the classroom, members of the Tobin graduating class of 2021 earn an average starting salary of approximately $63,000 and are found at top-level business firms in the industries of their choice in the New York metropolitan area and beyond.
“The external recognition of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business by Poets&Quants demonstrates the impressive progress being made by the College and confirms our unwavering commitment to the success of our students and alumni,” remarked Simon G. Møller, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
