Center for Law and Religion Names 2013-2014 Student Fellows

Student Fellows for the 2013-2014 academic year
August 22, 2013

The Center for Law and Religion recently named four Student Fellows for the 2013-2014 academic year. Selected by Center Director Mark L. Movsesian and Associate Director Marc O. DeGirolami after an extensive application and interview process, the new Fellows are:

  • Marissa Dioguardi ‘15
  • Thomas Engelhardt ‘15
  • May Mansour ‘14
  • Andrew Rosati ’15

They join returning Student Fellow Jessica Wright ’14.

The Center’s Fellows Program allows students to explore their interests in law and religion and to hone their research skills. As one of their primary responsibilities, Fellows assist with the production of the Center’s website, the Center for Law and Religion Forum. In this role, they help maintain the site’s Scholarship Roundup -- daily posts on books and articles on a range of law and religion topics. They also source the Web for law and religion news and compose weekly lists of most cited law and religion articles. “I enjoy investigating and reporting on law and religion news and publications,” says Wright. “I have learned how intertwined law and religion are in the world around us.”

The new Student Fellows are enthusiastic about joining the Center. “It is rewarding to contribute to a resource that scholars around the world rely on,” says Engelhardt. The Center for Law and Religion Forum provides a great platform for debate on a complex and dynamic area of the law, and I am fortunate to play a role in facilitating this important dialogue.” Mansour agrees: “It is an honor to be part of a Center that has received both national and international recognition. Through the Fellows program, we gain unique perspective on law and religion as a subject of legal scholarship and popular writing, and on the range of ways law and religion impacts and influences our society.”
