Staten Island Campus Library Opening Reception "Renaissance: Five Years After Sandy"
You are cordially invited to the Opening Reception at the Loretto Memorial Library, the Staten Island Campus on Saturday, October 21st, 2-5p.m. Five years ago Hurricane Sandy devastated Staten Island. The resilience of Island residents is exemplified by images on display in this exhibit. Despite the pockets of abandoned houses and half-completed shoreline projects, there has been recovery as well. Development and population growth are evident Island-wide. All the works on display are created by members of the Creative Photographers Guild and St. John’s University students of Professor Frisch-Cherniak.
