Service and Scholarship Celebrated at St. John’s Annual President’s Dinner
For more than two decades, the annual President’s Dinner has brought together generations of alumni, trustees, administrators, staff, faculty, friends of St. John’s—and most importantly, students—to raise funds for scholarships, especially for those students most in need. St. John’s premier fundraising event also serves as an opportunity to honor people and organizations with the Spirit of Service Award for exemplifying the University’s Vincentian mission of service.

Senior Psychology Major Leads AFSP Walk “Out of the Darkness”
Kira Marshall ‘18C, whose internship at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) led to a full-time job in May 2018, served as captain for the St. John’s University walker team in AFSP’s “Out of the Darkness” walk. The walk, which took place on Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Clove Lakes Park, aimed to raise funds and increase awareness for suicide prevention and mental health in the community.
