For Government and Politics major Eleni Moukas, sustainability isn’t just “pulp” fiction. A Sustainability Coordinator on the St. John’s Queens campus since April 2017, Eleni is involved with the process of pulping campus food waste for compost to use in the University’s organic garden. She was recently featured in a GreeNYC video about her sustainability efforts on campus.

Liberal Studies Event was a Success!
On September 24th the College of Professional Studies hosted the 2018 LST (Liberal Studies Event). We had about 40 students attend, who learned more about what Liberal Studies, as a Bachelor’s had to offer. They learned more about the Division of English and Speech and what it would be like to be a student in the College of Professional Studies. The event’s focus was on how to help student success and transition into a major of their choice.
