Two teams of Peter J. Tobin College of Business accounting students from Staten Island captured a first place finish in their respective categories at the national financial information honor society’s Atlantic Coast Regional Competition. Teams from the Kappa Zeta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi each finished atop the "Branding Your Chapter" and the "Hands-on-Engagement” categories in this year's Competition, which was held in Wilmington, Del. on March 16-17.
This was the third consecutive year in which the chapter finished first in one category or more. The victories allow both teams to advance to the society’s National Competition in Washington in in August.
“I am so proud of our talented Tobin students who know how to compete and win,” said the chapter’s faculty advisor and mentor, Benjamin Silliman, M.Acc., M.A., Ed.D., Professor of Accountancy. “They are some of our best and brightest accounting and finance students.”
