On February 8th, Doo Wop took center stage in the Communication and Collaboration Commons during CPS's seventh Research Forum. Professor Lawrence Pitilli, Associate Professor, Division of English and Speech, proudly featured his research on the subject of Doo-Wop during the 1950's and 1960's. According to Prof. Pitilli, the era is often forgotten, yet influential to early American culture. Professor Pitilli presented his latest book entitled Doo-Wop Acappella: A Story of Street Corners, Echoes, and Three-Part Harmonies and afterwards grace the audience with a performance.
