St. John’s University to Host 19th Annual Summer Concert Featuring the Queens Symphony Orchestra

St. John’s University will host the 19th Annual Summer Concert featuring Martin Majkut, Music Director and the Queens Symphony Orchestra’s (QSO) presentation of “A Midsummer's Enchanted Evening” on Wednesday, August 2  at 7 p.m. on the University’s Queens campus. 

Enjoy an evening of enchanting arias and songs sung by tenor Christopher Macchio, plus the lush and romantic Symphony No. 5 by Tchaikovsky.

      Great Lawn

The concert is free and open to the public.  Guests are encouraged to enter through Gate #1 on Utopia Parkway, bring chairs and blankets, and arrive prior to the start at 7 p.m.

Founded in 1953 and in its 64th season, the Queens Symphony Orchestra is the borough’s only professional orchestra and the oldest and largest professional arts organization in Queens. The Queens Symphony Orchestra is made up of professional musicians who also perform on Broadway, with the New York City Ballet, and other freelance orchestras.
