Vincentian Mission Award – Call for Nominations

St. John’s University established the Vincentian Mission Award in 1993 to recognize the dedication of the many employees (i.e., administrators, faculty, and staff) who have embraced—in both their personal and professional lives—our Vincentian spirit. 

I invite all members of the St. John’s family to participate in designating the recipient of the award, which will be presented at the Vincentian Convocation in September.

Nominations are to be submitted electronically via a nomination form no later than Thursday, May 29.

Previous recipients of the award, listed below, are ineligible. In addition, the award is generally intended to be conferred on individuals other than members of the Vincentian Community or Daughters of Charity, or individuals working in offices whose primary goal is to advance the University’s Vincentian mission. 

As in the past, a committee comprised of faculty, administrators, and staff will review the list of nominees and provide to me their award recipient recommendation. Thank you for your participation in this important activity, which is designed to underscore our institutional commitment to serve those in need.

*Note: Due to inclement weather, the 2010 Vincentian Convocation was rescheduled from January 2010 to September 2011, at which time the 2010 award was presented. This resulted in no call for nominations in 2011, and a decision to present future awards in September of each year.
