- RISE® Partners with St. John’s University to Launch Scholarship to Empower the Next Generation of Risk Management & Insurance Leaders

RISE - the "ultimate insurance community" - is proud to announce a new partnership with St. John’s University to offer the RISE Scholarship, providing $20,000 scholarships toward graduate tuition for early-career professionals pursuing advanced degrees in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), or Actuarial Science. All eligible applicants will receive a minimum of $5,000 toward tuition.
More than just financial support, the scholarship offers recipients a guaranteed spot in the RISE Mentorship Program, connecting them directly with seasoned professionals who provide career guidance, networking opportunities, and industry insights. Together, tuition funding and mentorship create a powerful opportunity for rising talent to gain both the knowledge and the real-world connections needed to thrive.
“At St. John’s, we are committed to preparing the next generation of leaders in risk management and insurance,” said Maciek Nowak, Ph.D., Dean of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. “This partnership with RISE strengthens that mission by ensuring talented early-career professionals have both the financial support and the mentorship they need to excel. We are proud to join forces with RISE to open more pathways into this vital industry.”
“This scholarship takes our mission to be a springboard for the rising stars of our industry and puts financial resources behind it, while opening doors to leaders and opportunities,” said Amy Cooper, Founder & CEO of RISE. “By combining education at a world-class institution like St. John’s with RISE’s stellar mentorship program, we’re helping early-career professionals accelerate their growth and shape the future of insurance.”
Eligible applicants must be current RISE members with fewer than ten years of professional experience and enrolled in, or applying and admitted to, one of St. John’s graduate programs in Risk Management and Risk Analytics, Risk Management and Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management, or Actuarial Science. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with priority deadlines of November 1, 2025 (for Spring 2026 admission) and April 1, 2026 (for Fall 2026 admission).
