November is Native American Heritage Month

Each November, St. John’s University joins the nation in celebrating Native American Heritage Month and honoring the history, culture, and experience of Indigenous peoples. Our Employee Assistance Program offers this resource list to encourage employees to explore the heritage and contributions of our Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities.

Whether it’s by learning to dance Powwow, reading a work by a Native American author, supporting an Indigenous-owned business, or exercising self-care and promoting mental health for Native and Indigenous communities, however you choose to commemorate the month, we hope you find the experience enriching and meaningful.
