NIH Implementation of the Common Forms for Biosketches and Current and Pending (Other) Support - Effective January 25, 2026

NIH will require the Common Form for the Biographical Sketch and the Current and Pending (Other) Support for due dates on or after January 25, 2026. 

With Common Forms implementation, the NIH requires all Senior/Key Personnel to link both their eRA Commons account and their ORCID iD in the Persistent Identifier (PI) section of the Common Forms. SciENcv is a feature in My NCBI that creates biosketches. Education, employment, research activities, publications, honors, research grants, and other professional contributions can be included in profiles.

NIH applicants/recipients will be required to use Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv) for completing and certifying:

1. Biosketch (Common Form)
2. Current and Pending (Other) Support (Common Form)
3. NIH Biographical Sketch Supplemen
