- Henry George Lecture announced for October 30

St. John's University's Henry George Chair in Economics has announced an October 30 guest lecture by Dr. Willi Semmler on “Climate Risks, Energy Transition and Sustainable Finance --- Is a Carbon Wealth Tax a useful Instrument?" The event will be held from 1:50pm-3:30pm at the William L. Munson lecture Hall at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business in Queens, NY.
Dr. Semmler, a professor at NYC's The New School for Social Research, authored the 2023 book "Sustainable Macroeconomics, Climate Risks and Energy Transitions: Dynamic Modeling, Empirics, and Policies" which explores the myriad challenges of climate change and in reaching a low-carbon economy.
