- "Future Faculty" explores capital markets with professor Dr. Joon Ho Kong

St. John's University students are invited to the next Future Faculty seminar series delivered by Dr. Joon Ho Kong, Assistant Professor of Accounting in the School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology. The talk will occur Monday, October 20, 2025 at 1:50pm in Tobin's Room 405. (RSVP requested)
Dr. Joon Ho Kong's career in capital markets research has had particular emphasis on corporate disclosures, executive compensation, auditing, corporate social responsibility, and peer firms. His work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Banking & Finance and the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting. He teaches Managerial Accounting and Financial Decision-Making courses. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Fordham University.
The Future Faculty Program (FFP) is a unique, on-campus experience that introduces students to the exciting career opportunities as Business School faculty. While it is hosted by Tobin, the program is open to all St John's Students. Students gain research opportunities (with paid compensation for eligible students), mentorship, assistance with graduate school applications, networking opportunities, and more!
