- Employee Appreciation Week–Thanks for All You Do!
From December 5 through 9, employees of St. John’s University felt especially appreciated as the Office of Human Resources, Athletics, and sponsor Teachers Federal Credit Union collaborated on several employee appreciation events across all three New York campuses.
We kicked off Monday by providing complimentary, grab-and-go lunch to employees on the Manhattan campus. Later in the day, the Office of Alumni Relations and Campus Ministry hosted the annual Winter Carnival with fireworks and the tree lighting on the Queens campus.
On Tuesday, Mama’s Cuban Kitchen food truck served more than 175 meals free of charge to employees on the Queens campus, and on Wednesday, it was Staten Island employees’ turn to enjoy complimentary lunch.
Johnny Thunderbird was witnessed storming the offices of employees in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business and ROTC building on Thursday, giving away drink cups and tote bags courtesy of Teachers Federal Credit Union. Athletics offered discounted ticket specials for the Wednesday Men’s Basketball game and Thursday Women’s Basketball game played in Carnesecca Arena. The week culminated on Friday with Christmas Mass in St. Thomas More Church, followed by the annual employee reception.
We hope you were able to partake in a few of these employee appreciation events. We thank you for all you do for St. John’s and wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday. View photos from the events.
