- Business' Beta Gamma Sigma to induct 54 including honored alumna Siobhan Anderson

Beta Gamma Sigma, the preeminent business honor society, will induct 54 new members, including alumna Siobhan Anderson, during a ceremony held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at St. John's University’s Tobin College of Business in the Munson Lecture Hall. A networking reception will precede the ceremony at 5:15 p.m. Family members, faculty, and fellow students are warmly welcome to attend this special occasion honoring academic excellence. Invitations for membership into Beta Gamma Sigma are extended based on academic performance to the top 10% of undergraduate students and top 20% of graduate students. Anderson will also deliver the keynote address to the inductees.
Siobhan Anderson is a senior finance executive at Wella Company, where she serves as Senior Vice President of Global Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations. She brings more than two decades of leadership experience across global organizations, including Wella, Hasbro, and Revlon.

Her roots at St. John's University run deep. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather, John Connell ’35C, and her mother, Patricia (Connell) Shea ’62C — both mathematics students at St. John's — Anderson developed a strong analytical mindset early in life. As an accounting major, she balanced rigorous coursework with multiple jobs to support her education, cultivating the discipline and resilience that would shape her career. She was also active in campus life, joining the Kappa Phi Beta sorority and building lifelong friendships.
Anderson earned her Master of Science in Accounting in 2002 and began her career at KPMG, rising quickly to manager. She later held leadership roles at Nasdaq and Revlon, where she advanced to Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, and Head of Investor Relations. In 2015, she joined Hasbro, contributing to major acquisitions and global finance transformation initiatives before moving to Wella, where she continues to lead with a focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and team empowerment.
Last month, Anderson generously supported St. John's University's Catalyst Committee, a student group responsible for coediting the national Women's History magazine alongside the National Women's History Alliance.
The induction ceremony is made possible in part through the generous sponsorship of Professor of Law John "Jack" Clarke, Esq. and under the faculty leadership of Dr. Tim Coville, professor of accountancy. RSVPs for guests of inductees are appreciated through this link.
