James M. Wicks is a partner of Farrell Fritz, P.C., and member of Commercial Litigation Practice Group, as well as General Counsel of the firm. He represents large and small businesses, financial institutions and individuals in federal and state trial courts, as well as in arbitrations involving a variety of commerical matters, and counsels and litigates issues involving attorneys, law firms and legal ethics issues. Wicks is a frequent lecturer and author of many articles. He is Chair-Elect of the New York State Bar Association's Commercial and Federal Litigation Section; co-chair of that Section's Ethics & Professionalism Committee; appointed by Chief Judge Lippman to NYS Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law; appointed to State and Federal Judicial Advisory Counsel; appointed to the EDNY Grievance Committee; chair of the EDNY's Civil Litigation Committee.
Wicks teaches Civil Pre-trial Advocacy and Representing Clients in Complex Litigation.
