Student Services

From the moment you arrive on campus for 1L Orientation to the moment you walk across the stage at Commencement, the Law School's Student Services team is here to support you.

As you settle into your new learning environment and routine at St. John's Law, we promise—you're not alone. The faculty, administration, and staff understand the challenges you’re facing, and we’re here to support you.

Many of you have asked us about learning and wellness resources. You'll find a list of student resources at our Online Student Center that we hope you’ll find useful.

We look forward to continuing to work with you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected] if we can be of help.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Services is committed to providing students and their families with the information they need to navigate and understand the financial aid and payment process.

Message from the Student Services Team

The Student Services Office oversees student life and wellbeing at St. John's Law. We offer academic advising and personal counseling, provide support for students with disabilities, and develop programs that complement the law school curriculum and enrich the student experience both in and beyond the classroom. We're here to help you thrive at the Law School and to manage any concern, conflict, or wellness challenge you may encounter during your time here.

The Student Services team maintains connections with other resources on campus, including the Office of Residence Life, Center for Counseling and Consultation, Disability Services and the Title IX Office. We focus on issues affecting the student community and act as the primary liaison between students, faculty, the administration, and the main University. To achieve this, we host a number of student-focused events from wellness programs to presentations on academics or the bar exam. Additionally, we coordinate a robust peer-mentorship program geared to help you build community and connect to others during your time here.

We encourage all students to seek out and create opportunities to enhance their learning in and outside the classroom. We foster and open door policy and encourage students to visit our office to ask questions or share concerns affecting the Law School community.

Public Safety

St. John’s University Department of Public Safety provides safety and security services to our community 24 hours per day, every day of the year. We work together with our partners on and off campus to create and maintain a safe and secure learning environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors.
