St. John's Law Alumni

Let’s Partner for Success

The Career Development Office (CDO) is committed to supporting St. John’s Law alumni. Whether you’re exploring new job opportunities, navigating a career transition, or seeking ways to enhance your professional growth, CDO is here as a trusted resource to help you succeed.

Working With CDO

The CDO team can help alumni identify and pursue job opportunities in a range of practice settings. Here’s how we can work together:

Alumni Referral Program

Employers with open positions regularly contact CDO seeking qualified St. John's Law graduates. We created the Alumni Referral Program to expedite the hiring process and streamline how we share employment information with alumni. As a Program participant, you’ll receive updates about employment opportunities, events, and initiatives through our bi-weekly newsletter and other communications. CDO can also connect you directly with employers based on your professional interests and qualifications.

Online Job Postings

Alumni can view job postings on CDO's password-protected website, Symplicity. We source listings from law firms, corporations, public interest organizations, government agencies, and other employers with open positions. Alumni interested in public service work can use PSJD, an online repository for public sector job listings and career-building tools.

Career Development Office Reciprocity

While CDO is here to help, alumni can also access the services of career development offices at other law schools. If you're interested in pursuing opportunities outside the New York Metropolitan area and want to obtain reciprocity within our law school network, please email us at [email protected].

Opportunities to Give Back

Mentor

Mentoring is a great way for alumni to give back to alma mater and our students. Mentor Connect, the Law School's robustonline mentoring platform, brings students seeking career guidance together with alumni who are excited to give it. Mentees and mentors connect through shared professional interests and Law School experiences, among other connecting points. To learn more, view the Mentor Connect guide and, if you’re ready, register today.

Volunteer

Volunteering to participate in career programs is another great way for alumni to give back while teaching students about the legal profession. Your insights and experiences can inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
