Ceremony Program

White Coat Ceremony

The White Coat Ceremony is a symbolic rite of passage for students of the healing arts. For the radiologic sciences student, it signifies a professional relationship with other colleagues who provide health-care services. This ceremony reaffirms the medical community’s support of the educational process that prepares future health providers for practice. On this day, students pledge their commitment to the radiologic sciences profession and the health of the patients they serve. Contributing to the care and healing of others is a privilege and a responsibility. The White Coat worn by each radiologic  sciences student is more than a familiar lab coat: it is a cloak of caring, compassion and service.

Radiologic Sciences Oath of Commitment

  • I solemnly pledge that I will cheerfully and willingly assist the radiologist in all diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures to the best of my ability.
  • I will procure the best possible images in all examinations.
  • I will treat every patient with courtesy and consideration.
  • I will take care to maintain a professional attitude in my relationship with all patients.
  • I will regard as strictly confidential all information regarding each patient coming for examination or treatment.
  • I will not discuss patients nor their affairs outside of the radiology department. I will not divulge to the patient the results of any examinations.
  • I will do all in my power to live up to and to improve the highest traditions of my profession.

The faculty, administrators, and staff of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences wish to extend our congratulations to the Radiologic Sciences Class of 2025.
