47th Annual Northeastern Educational Research Association Symposia
Marcella Mandracchia, Ed.D., Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and Dr. James Reed Campbell, Ph.D., Professor of Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership, chaired symposia at the 47th Annual Northeastern Educational Research Association in Trumball, CT this past October 2016. The participants were all former doctoral students of the Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership.
School of education student among three St. John’s students awarded U.S. department of state’s Benjamin A. Gilman international scholarship to study abroad
Cammi Roberts, Ed was among over 850 American undergraduate students from 359 colleges and universities across the U.S. selected to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to study abroad during the spring 2017 term. Miss Roberts is an undergraduate majoring in Adolescent Education who took part in the Discover Italy: Education program.

The 2017 Maureen A. Hartigan Forum and Networking Reception
The Maureen A. Hartigan Forum is an annual event for student teachers which provides them with an opportunity to network with alumni and prepare for future job interviews. The Hartigan Forum was created as a result of a scholarship dedicated to the memory of Maureen A. Hartigan ’55Ed, who was the former president of The School of Education Alumni Association and an alumna committed to her alma mater. The 2017 Maureen A. Hartigan Scholarship recipient are Amanda Leigh Cohen ’19Ed and Kecia Robinson ‘18Ed.
