Spotlight on Religious Life During Brothers’/Sisters’ Night
St. John’s University’s Campus Ministry sponsored its third annual Brothers’/Sisters’ Night at the 5:30 p.m. Sunday Student Mass on September 17 in St. Thomas More Church. This event gives students the opportunity to meet and pray with Sisters and Brothers who serve the local Church.

More than 900 Vincentians gathered for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s (SVDP) Annual National Assembly in August. Executive board members from the St. John’s chapter joined them in this year’s host city of Tampa, FL.
Distinguished CLACS Alumnus Discusses Cultural Studies and Global Change at SJU
On Friday, September 22, 2017, Malcolm A. Compitello, Ph.D., ‘68C, ‘70G delivered the lecture, “From the Classroom to the World and Back Again: Cultural Studies as Mediator of Curricular and Global Change.” The event took place at 1:30 p.m. in the Global Language and Culture Center (GLCC) on the Queens Campus. Alina Camacho-Gingerich, Ph.D., Professor of Spanish and Chair of both the Department of Languages and Literatures and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS), organized the event and presented Dr. Compitello with a plaque from the department for his accomplishments.

Professor Mark L. Movsesian visited Armenia recently to teach Topics in American Law: US Constitution and Human Rights, a one-week, intensive course at the American University of Armenia.
