Printing and Distribution Services

St. John’s University is privileged to have an on-site print shop at each campus for all your printing needs. Our copiers produce high quality work, from postcards to manuals. We provide full service digital color and black/white printing. Whether you need one copy or thousands of copies, we can get it done for you.

How do I order business cards?

We offer fast, friendly, and efficient services at the Print Shop without you having to leave your office. Our skilled team has many years of experience to take on any printing projects you may have. All printing are done in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Our print shop offers consultation and estimates prior to starting your projects upon request. Printing and Distribution will work with you to determine the best solution for the project.

  • Large duplicating jobs of 75,000 require at least five business days
     
  • Original hardcopy documents will be returned
     
  • Files sent electronically must be paginated correctly
     
  • Duplicating requests that are less than 2,000 copies of standard straight copying will be completed within 24 hours
     
  • Duplicating requests greater than 5,000 copies will be completed in one to two days
     
  • Any print request over $750 requires budget administrator approval

    The following procedures must be followed when requesting a print job:

    • When completing a ticket, please follow these procedures noted below in the Guidelines.
    • Incomplete forms may cause a delay in your job’s turnaround time.
    • Attach/upload your document to your ticket or send it electronically.
    • Completed jobs will be delivered as specified on the job ticket. You may pick up your job upon request.

    Mail Room Services

    All St. John’s mail/packages received are processed and delivered to respective departments. Thanks to discounted bulk mail postage rates and presort rates, we provide substantial savings to our customers. We consult with our departments to determine the most cost-effective method to process their mail/packages.

    * Envelop mailings should be type-written to prevent delays in shipment or "Return to Sender" responses.

    Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    • Sorting of all incoming and inter-office mail and packages
    • Delivering of mail to the departments on campus
    • Metering of all USPS first-class outgoing domestic and international mail and packages (including certified, return receipt, and express mail)
    • Metering of presorted first-class mail
    • Shipping of UPS, FedEx, and DHL
    • Messenger services

    The following procedures must be followed when requesting a postal mailing job.

    • Please complete and print a copy of your ticket and affix to the packages
    • Incomplete information may cause a delay in your mailing
    • For tracking information, please refer to back to your ticket number the following day
    • Submit Mailing Request
    • Mail pick-up and delivery occur once daily from 1 – 3 p.m. to the University’s departments on the Queen's Campus. There is one delivery per day to Seton Complex and Bartilucci Center at 2 p.m. Messenger makes regularly scheduled deliveries to inter-campus University locations; Manhattan campus, Tuesday and Thursday; and Staten Island campus Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

      * Mail delivery times and frequencies are subject to change.
       
    • All post office mail picked up by noon is processed and mailed the same day
       
    • If you should miss the last pick-up of the day, you may bring your mail to the Distribution department located in the Reserve Center/ROTC, Room 226.

    Please Note: Any mail/packages received without a name, department or purchase order number will be held in the department. If the unknown items are not picked up within 10 business days they will be returned to the sender.
