In an effort to avoid multiple solicitations to various constituent groups, it is the policy of the University that any employee seeking funds on its behalf obtain the approval of the Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations and Development before proceeding with any fundraising effort.
The mission of the Office of Development is to raise revenue to support the goals of the University and to maximize its efforts to pursue fundraising opportunities. The Office seeks the support of alumni, parents, friends, the University Community, suppliers, and other constituent groups, as well as corporations and foundations.
Specific goals, objectives, and strategies are established for each Development area (i.e., Annual Giving, Corporate Relations, Foundation Relations, Major Gift, Planned Giving) and for cultivating key prospective donors.
