- Tobin Research Seminar on Business and Society
About: Founded in 2024, the Tobin Research Seminar on Business & Society serves as a platform for scholars to present and discuss ongoing research that examines the dynamic interactions between business and society. The Seminar’s scope is broad and interdisciplinary, reflecting the pervasive nature of these interactions in modern societies.
This approach aligns with the vision of pioneering management theorist Peter F. Drucker, renowned for his humane and interdisciplinary perspective on organizations and their role in society. Drucker viewed business, economics, politics, and society as interconnected domains, emphasizing the importance of adopting a holistic perspective. This spirit is deeply embedded in the Seminar’s mission.
