Global Passport
How can $800 bring you the world? Introducing St. John's one-week Global Passport program!
At St. John’s University, your global adventure starts from DAY ONE!
Our one-of-a-kind Global Passport program gives first-year students the chance to take their education beyond the classroom—right from their very first semester. Imagine diving into your required first-year course in a totally fresh way, learning from top professors who bring the vibrant history, art, and culture of Rome and Paris straight into your New York classroom.
After your semester in Queens, you’ll pack your bags and head overseas with your classmates and professors for a 7-day immersive experience in either Paris or Rome—earning credit while living what you’ve learned. Talk about bringing your studies to life!
And we believe every student should have this opportunity. That’s why we keep the Global Passport program incredibly affordable—just $800 (plus airfare) for this unforgettable experience. It’s our way of making sure your first year doesn’t just start strong—it starts global.
So how does it work?
Your First-Year Curriculum - in New York and Abroad. You’ll apply to enroll in a New York course that already fits your first-year requirements - whether that’s Core, language, or for your major - and take it during the fall or spring semester.
In class, you’ll explore global ideas through engaging readings and projects that set you up for something exciting ahead. Then, at the end of the semester, comes the best part: you’ll travel with your classmates and professor to Rome or Paris for 7 days! Fall semester courses travel in January, and spring semester courses travel in May. You’ll also receive an additional credit to represent your global engagement abroad.
