The FOX U Project
This past year our Sport Management program had the opportunity to work with Fox Sports University (Fox U). Fox U “is a program that Fox Sports developed with prestigious academic and athletic institutions around the country…Each class partners with a Fox Sports Media Group business to address a marketing, research, technology or strategy challenge that the business faces. Students team up to create real-world solutions, products, and campaigns to address the business challenge” (Fox Sports University).
Marketing and advertising students make their pitch
For the last two semesters, 10 students from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business and 12 from the College of Professional Studies developed a complete advertising and marketing communication plan for Tai Pei Frozen Meals and Appetizers for their upper-level marketing course, in preparation for a year-end face off against similar programs from around the country.

Accepted Student Day Draws Record Number of Visitors
St. John’s 2017 Accepted Student Day on April 8 recorded the largest turnout in the event’s history. Accompanied by their parents and other family members, more than 2,000 high school students visited the Queens campus, speaking with administrators and counselors, taking tours, and meeting current students at activities that included a barbecue on the Great Lawn.
English Ph.D. Graduates Land Tenure-Track Positions
Five recent graduates of the Ph.D. program in English have already secured coveted tenure-track positions in the field.
