Division/Department Information
The Management Department of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University invites applications for a tenure track position in the area of management, with a specialty in Entrepreneurship and/or Innovation preferred, at the rank of assistant professor beginning in the academic year 2020-21.  The Management Department consists of sixteen full-time faculty members and ten adjunct faculty.  We offer a B.S. in Management and M.S. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, as well as a concentration in the M.B.A.  At the undergraduate level we offer minors in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Human Resource Management, International Management, and Sustainability and Social Enterprise. The department offers courses in all areas of Management, such as Organizational Behavior, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Human Resources, International Management, and Strategy.  

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a researcher contributing to the advancement of his/her discipline by publishing in top-tier national and international journals, with a record of strong teaching performance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  

Qualifications 
Related business experience is desirable. Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB-accredited university prior to September, 2020.

The department of Business Analytics and Information Systems is inviting applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level starting in Fall 2020. A Ph.D. in Statistics, Decision Sciences, Analytics, Operations Research, or related field is required for a tenure track position.  All specialization areas in Business Analytics will be considered, however, preferred areas of expertise are analytical computing, machine learning, data mining and advanced statistical methods.

Responsibilities include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as maintaining an active research profile. Excellence in teaching and an ongoing research/publication record are essential at the Tobin College of Business for tenure and promotion.

Department Information

The Department of Marketing in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position to begin Fall 2020 at the rank of assistant/associate professor, to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, with a specialty in marketing analytics, marketing research, and related areas in data-driven marketing in addition to department courses.  For more information on The Peter J. Qualifications

Ph.D. in Marketing, Analytics, or a closely related business field from an AACSB-accredited institution.  Candidates must show evidence of teaching excellence, professional and scholarly activity, online instruction, student engagement, and a strong commitment to service.  Participation in department, college and university governance is expected.

Division/Department Information

The Department of Accountancy in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, to begin in fall 2020. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the Tobin College of Business—about 2,400 undergraduates and 600 graduate students.  Together they represent 36 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and 75 foreign countries. The Tobin College of Business has AACSB accreditation and the Department of Accountancy earned separate accreditation from AACSB for its graduate and undergraduate programs in April 2004.

Responsibilities

The Department of Accountancy is looking for a candidate who can support the growth of its undergraduate and graduate programs in the area of analytics and who can assume the position of Director of the Center for Accounting Research and Analytics (CARA). Candidates should be familiar with technology-supported learning approaches; be able to integrate technology into teaching using simulation software and techniques for data analysis; be able to adopt emerging technologies as they impact the profession; and be interested in serving as a leader in the integration of technology and analytics in the core curriculum.  As Director of CARA, the successful candidate will be responsible for organizing activities at the Center and for guiding students pursuing certification.

Qualifications

Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in accounting before September, 2020, with a focus in accounting information systems and analytics preferred. Candidates with research portfolios and/or significant professional practitioner experience, as well as demonstrated teaching performance are preferred.  Professional certification is required, and knowledge of the certification processes (especially in New York) is optimal.

The department offers BS/BA in economics in both the Tobin College of Business and St. John’s College of Arts and Sciences.  It also supports the undergraduate business core, graduate business programs and undergraduate and graduate programs in various liberal arts disciplines, including the soon to be launched Philosophy, Politics and Economics program.  Ability to work in a department that includes mainstream and heterodox economists is necessary. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate classes as well as participation on committees and service to the University and community.    Excellence in teaching and an ongoing research/publication record are essential.  Candidates who can contribute to the University’s Vincentian Mission are particularly encouraged to apply. 

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Economics is required for tenure track position.    We are particularly interested in Microeconomic Theory (especially equity, justice and inequality) and Labor (especially discrimination).  Ability to teach a diverse student body is essential.
