Emergency Situations

For all emergency situations in which someone requires immediate medical assistance and/or is in immediate danger to themselves or others, call 911 or local police.

If you are on campus and call 911, please notify Public Safety so they can assist emergency services to your location.

During all other emergency situations, you may:

Speak with a mental health professional

Please call or walk into the Center for Counseling and Consultation (CCC) and let the front desk staff know that you are in crisis and need to speak with a counselor immediately.

The CCC is open for walk-in services, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After Hours Mental Health Helpline

If you need to speak to a counselor when the Center for Counseling and Consultation is closed, please call the After Hours Mental Health Helpline at 718-990-6352.

Available after 4:30 p.m., on weekends, and when the University is closed.

Please call Student Health Services, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
