Plunges, or service immersions, are extended experiences where students are given the opportunity to expand their learning beyond the classroom and into the world. These experiences highlight and allow for participation in service opportunities, community building, cultural immersions, and simple living OUTSIDE OF New York City. 

Our intentional partnerships with the Vincentian worldwide family offer participants a glimpse of the lived experience of the Vincentian charism, with each plunge created with a specific focus to enrich participants’ understanding of social justice and spirituality. 

The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15! Students are allowed to attend ONE (1) Plunge per academic year.

  • Trip Cost: $150 non-refundable deposit + $300 

St. Louis, Missouri: RACIAL DIVISION & URBAN POVERTY

El Paso, Texas: BORDER MIGRATION

Panama: CULTURAL IMMERSION

  • May 18-27, 2026
  • Passport validity: 3 months beyond date of arrival
  • Your passport must be valid until at least August 19, 2026

  • Trip Cost: $150 non-refundable deposit + $600

Manila, Philippines: CULTURAL IMMERSION 

  • May 18-28, 2026
  • Passport validity: 6 months beyond the end of your planned stay
  • Your passport must be valid until at least August 31, 2026

  • Trip Cost: $150 non-refundable deposit + $800
