- Thank A Donor Day
Friday, April 28, 2023
More than 100 St. John’s students didn’t mind the inclement weather this year when they attended Thank A Donor Day on April 28 to let the University’s donors know that their support doesn’t go unnoticed.
“It warmed my heart to see that a little rain and wind didn’t stop our students from sharing their gratitude with our donors,” said Sammantha McCalla, Ph.D., Associate Director, Donor Relations, Office of Advancement. “It’s awesome to witness and I am very proud of them.”
The students shared their stories as they wrote thank-you cards to alumni and friends who remember St. John’s in their philanthropic support. They recalled their scholarships and the times that aid from St. John’s made all the difference.
“I couldn’t have achieved my goal of earning my Pharm.D. without it,” said Daniel Limrata, who is preparing to graduate this month. “I thank the donors for their generosity. They are appreciated!”
“We couldn’t continue the mission of St. John’s without our donors,” added Dionne Dorsey, Director, Donor Relations.
The video below was created by students to show their gratitude to the donors who make their education possible. Please take a moment to listen to their stories.
