Thank A Donor Day

Friday, April 29, 2022

Thank a Donor Day is held annually in the spring to give students the opportunity to express their appreciation for the donations our generous alumni and friends make to the University. Students gather together to write thank-you cards and record greetings of gratitude to our donors to ensure they are aware of the impact of their benevolence.

Thank a Donor Day was suspended for two years due to the pandemic, but will resume this spring on the Great Lawn at Stormin' Loud on Friday, April 29, under the leadership of Sammantha McCalla, Ph.D. ’99CBA, ’01MBA, Associate Director, Donor Relations, Office of Advancement

“Our goal is to not only thank our donors and show them how appreciative our students are, but to create in current students a pay-it-forward mentality that transforms our future alumni into donors who help future generations,” said Dr. McCalla.

Financial support from alumni and friends of the University is crucial to the success of every student. “Donations result in scholarships, fellowships, new and improved facilities, and more,” explained Dionne Dorsey ’15G, Director, Donor Relations. “Anywhere you look on our campuses and at our locations, you see the effect of a generous donor.”
