Jasmine Batacan

Jasmine Batacan is from Hyattsville, MD, and graduates in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Peter J Tobin College of Business.She is a member of the 5-year program pursuing her Masters of Business Administration in International Business. After graduating with both of her degrees, Jasmine aims to pursue a Social Media Marketing career within the entertainment, fashion, or arts industry. 

Jasmine always knew she wanted to go to school in New York after visiting for the first time at the age of 5. After visiting St. John’s University in her senior year of high school, Jasmine knew she wanted to attend St. John’s University. She was drawn to the beautiful campus, the variety of activities and organizations, and the beautiful city of New York to explore. 

After joining the Red House Fashion Organization her freshman year, Jasmine built her way up within the organization to serve as the current President of the 2020-2021 school year. St. John’s gave Jasmine the opportunity to find a place where she belongs and can connect with others in the same space. The University has given her endless opportunities for leadership and networking through the strong network of Alumni. She also serves as a Second Year Resident Assistant in Dasilva Hall, catering to the needs of incoming freshmen. In her free time, she is a freelance painter who loves to create. 

“Without my experience at St. John’s University, I would not have grown into the woman I am today. All that St. John’s has given me has played a key role in my development in every aspect. I hope one day I can give back to the school that gave me so much, a fraction of what it gave me,” she said.
