Why Scholarships Matter

One of the ways our most generous donors show their appreciation and love for St. John's is by establishing endowed funds which provide everlasting support. Endowed scholarships are gifts of $50,000 or more–payable outright or over several years–to a scholarship.The principal of endowment funds are held in perpetuity, and are invested while the income created from that investment is utilized to provided scholarship awards on an annual basis.

The investment objection for these endowments is to continue to increase the annual scholarship awards over time while providing as many students as possible the opportunity to attend St. John's.
