The information below is very important, as it contains your upcoming enrollment timeline and item submission deadlines and requirements. Please disregard any information you may have already submitted.
Your St. John’s University Email Address
Issued roughly within one week after deposit is submitted.
It is important that you stay connected with this email address, as the University will be sending important enrollment information. The Online Patient Portal (see “Medical Forms” below) and Online Placement Exam Platform (see “Placement Exams” below) will require this email address to complete as well. Generally the email address is issued within one week of the student submitting the $300 enrollment confirmation deposit.
To get set up to send and receive emails to this account, follow the instructions noted here.
On-Campus Housing Selection via the Housing Portal
Deposit due: January 10, 2025
The Office of Residence Life will contact students who plan to live on campus regarding next steps in the housing self-selection process. Please visit the Housing Selection Website for more information, dates and deadlines, frequently asked questions, housing selection tutorials, and more. The application process for housing begins with submitting a non-refundable $400 housing deposit and non-refundable $300 enrollment deposit. We will reach out to you within 2-3 business days after you deposit with instructions on accessing the Housing Portal. Students can submit the housing deposit by logging into their Student Portal.
Immunization Forms
January 15, 2025
As per New York State Public Health Laws 2165 & 2167, all students must submit proof of immunization or immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella. In addition, students must submit proof of meningococcal vaccination or complete a meningitis declination form.
Students who are not in compliance with these university requirements and New York State laws will not be permitted to move into their residence hall and will not be able to attend classes. Download the forms here and submit the completed forms through the Medicat online portal. Acceptable forms of documentation and directions on how to access and upload forms to the Medicat Patient Portal can be found here. Please note we are unable to accept these documents via mail, fax, or email.
Final Official College Transcripts
January 15, 2025
Official transcripts reflecting final grades are required to consider your application complete, and must be official documents submitted by your previous institution(s). If an associate’s degree was earned, be sure to submit your final official transcript reflecting degree conferral. These transcripts are required in order to complete your enrollment at St. John’s. Failure to submit them may result in loss of any financial aid you have been offered. Further details can be found on Page 5 of the Undergraduate Bulletin.
Final Official High School Transcript
January 15, 2025
To be considered “final and official,” it must contain your date of graduation and be submitted by your previously attended high school. We require this document to complete your enrollment at St. John’s, so failure to submit it may result in loss of any financial aid you have received.
Proof of high school graduation includes a final, high school transcript with date of graduation; a state-issued diploma; or the GED (General Education Diploma) or other state-approved equivalency assessment through TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion). In-state, out-of-state homeschool and online educated students must submit an official document from the state Department of Education or the superintendent of their school district that attests that the education is equivalent to a high school diploma or obtain a High School Equivalency diploma. Further details can be found on Page 4 of the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Submitting Advanced Placement Scores
January 15, 2025
If you would like to have your AP scores evaluated for college credit, please forward your scores to us by logging into your College Board account and sending the scores to St. John's University (St. John's school code: 2799).
Placement Assessments
Placement Assessments must be completed in advance of class registration.
Students seeking enrollment in certain majors (e.g., Math, specific Sciences and Computer Science) will require completion of placement assessments. Qualifying students will hear from a Transfer Admission and Advising Counselor soon with further instructions regarding how to complete the placement assessments. It is important to complete these assessments as soon as possible, as these scores are required in order to register for fall classes.
Class Registration
Ongoing
The Transfer Admission and Advising Team will create your fall schedule when registration opens. To best accommodate your needs, we ask that you complete a quick pre-registration survey so we can best accommodate your preferences when possible. You can access the survey on the resources tab in your student portal.
