Frequently Asked Questions about Registration

(videos coming soon)

Q: Can I skip over requesting my PIN number and just meet with my advisor for my PIN?

A: Unfortunately, no. With over 2,000 students for our small advising staff to assist within a few weeks, we ask students to utilize the technology of Degree Works to review their degree requirements and suggest classes for your advisor to review.

Q: What will my advisor do after reviewing?

A. Approve and send you an email with your PIN number.
B. Approve with some notes and recommendations and still give you the PIN.
C. Request a meeting due to further discuss.

Q: Am I required to study abroad?

While we highly recommend every Tobin student study aboard, only International Management Students are required to have an international experience course.

PIN Request

Your PIN will be sent to you by your advisor, once you have successfully communicated your plans for the Fall (and Summer, if you like). Be sure to read below for advice on how to best prepare. Please do NOT submit early, requests starting March 9 for Seniors, March 16 for Juniors, March 24 for Sophomores.
