The Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies provides assistantships/doctoral fellowships to graduate students currently enrolled in a graduate degree program. To apply for an open CCPS position, click here.
The current students are specifically selected because of their academic achievement and the expectation that they will act as creative scholars. Their primary job responsibility will be to:
- Assist faculty and academic administrator’s members with scholarly research.
- Collaborate in the presentation and publication of research results
- Assist with events conducted by faculty and the College

Dylan Roskovensky is a first-year graduate student pursuing his Master’s of Professional Studies in Sports Management. Dylan graduated from Hofstra University in Uniondale, NY, in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In the past, Dylan had the opportunity to broadcast Hofstra sports on their radio station and work on sports operations at SUNY Old Westbury as an athletic communications intern. Dylan’s goal in the future is to work within the Sports Operations/Business field at the collegiate level.

Allan Ilyasov is a graduate student in his final year of the fast track program pursuing a Master's in Data Science. In the past, Allan showcased his work under Dr. Keshtkar to Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Conference, as well as St. John's Student Research Conference. Currently, Allan is working on developing and testing AI tutoring systems for both Dr. Keshtkar and Dr. Crocetti. Allan's goal is to work as a software engineer developing software to make great benefit to mankind.

Giulio Bardelli is an international student from Italy in his final year of the fast-track program, currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science after having finished his Bachelor’s in Computer Science. In the past, Giulio has worked under Dr. Yadav on writing a published paper on Gradient Encryption in Federated Learning, and under Dr. Keshtkar, presenting their AI Tutor for Computer Science students at the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Conference, as well as St. John's Student Research Conference. Currently, Giulio is still working under Dr. Keshtkar on AI Tutor and has started working under Dr. Crocetti on Conversational Intelligence for Retention Optimization (CIRO). Giulio's goal is to work as an AI engineer to develop and improve AI in a proficient and ethical way.

Matthew Sroczynski is a second-year graduate student pursuing his Master's of Professional Studies in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Leadership. Matthew graduated from St. John's in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Matthew has had the opportunity to intern with the New Jersey State Police Office of Emergency Management and the New Jersey Transit Police Intelligence Unit. In the future, Matthew's goal is to work in Intelligence or Emergency Management at the federal or state level.
