Virtual Initiatives

Virtual Photo Booth

Graduates can use the virtual background tool to upload their photo and place the cutout image on
a variety of iconic campus locations - there is also a cap and gown filter that can be used.

After the image is generated, the photo can be downloaded instantly and can be used for the Marching Order photo submission.

Graduate Recognition Slides

Graduates will receive an e-mail from Marching Order with a link to upload a photo, along with a message, and the ability to provide the pronunciation of their name. Graduates will be individually recognized with the reading of their names during the Virtual Ceremonies.

The deadline to submit this information is Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Video Campaigns

Graduates, family and friends, and faculty can submit video clips celebrating this momentous occasion. Details and submission information can be found by clicking the appropriate link below.

Videos could be used on the website and social media to promote the celebration. They will also be shared on the Celebration Wall.

Photo Mosaic

Graduates who submitted a photo to MarchingOrder (by the April 22 deadline) have been automatically included in a digital mosaic representing the Class of 2021. The digital mosaic are created based on GR and UG students and are available below for graduates to print or to share digitally.

Graduate Cap and Gown Filters

Graduates can use this tool to place themselves in a St. John's cap & gown and post their photos on social media. The filter is available to use with the Virtual Photo booth too!

Celebration Wall

Graduates and the St. John's Community can submit a personalized congratulatory message, photo, or video to the members of the Class of 2021.
