1. Do your homework.

Research the universities your child is considering. It will go a long way in helping them find the perfect fit (for them and for you). Let us know of your interest to ensure you’re getting the latest information about St. John’s University!

2. Visit campus.

St. John’s home, Queens, NY, was just ranked #3 on The New York Times list, “52 Places for a Changed World.” That’s just one of the countless reasons to schedule your campus tour. Here, in the heart of the Queens, you’ll find our 100-acre gated campus, which features more than 3,000 trees, a sprawling lawn, and stunning views of the Manhattan skyline.

3. Apply early.

While St. John’s offers rolling admissions for most undergraduate programs, it is best to submit your child’s application and required documents as early as possible. Learn more about our application and required documentation.

4. Pay the academic deposit early.

After your child is admitted, be sure to secure their spot by submitting your enrollment deposit.

5. Complete the FAFSA and calculate costs.

Be sure to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible. It is the key to securing financial aid. St. John’s FAFSA code is 002823.

Our FAFSA tutorial and FAFSA Checklist can help you avoid the most common mistakes students make when completing the FAFSA.

6. Attend Accepted Student Day.

Accepted Student Day is the event of the spring season at St. John’s. It’s an amazing opportunity for accepted students to meet future and current students, faculty and administrators for an insider’s look at life as a Johnny!
