Jesuit College President Shaped by Vincentian Values

For Rev. Joseph G. Marina, S.J., Ph.D., M.Div. ’86C, ’90GEd, President of The University of Scranton, the long and circuitous road to his current position first began when he was a student at St. John’s University. Named the 29th President in February 2021, Fr. Marina leads the Catholic and Jesuit liberal arts college in northeastern Pennsylvania that serves almost 5,000 undergraduate, adult, part-time, and graduate students.
