Professor Shannon received his J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law and graduated a member of the NYU Law chapter of the Order of the Coif. Before that, he received his M.S.T. from Fordham University while teaching full-time. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude with distinction in research, where he was a Merrill Presidential Scholar.
