Reconnect, Remember, Reunite

The Office of Multicultural Affairs, under the theme, “Remember, Reconnect, and Reunite”, will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Project AIM on Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Please know that all Project AIM 20th Anniversary Celebration events are free and open to St. John’s students and employees, current and alumni of Project AIM, and all friends of the program.  We hope to see you!

Time: 5:306 p.m. EST

Project AIM 20th Anniversary Weekend Celebration will kick off with a welcome and special blessing by the Vincentians, followed by opening remarks and brief words from our special guest speakers.

Time: 6:30–8 p.m. EST

This social hour will be a time for current students, alums, and friends of Project AIM to join together for a virtual meet and greet type of social hour.  This event will feature a virtual game night which is sure to be fun, engaging and a nod to the light yet strong bond that Project AIM members have created for nearly twenty years.  Gift cards and St. John’s souvenirs will be awarded as tokens of appreciation to select winners.

Time: 2–2:30 p.m. EST

Day Two kicks off with a special visual presentation of Project AIM over the years.  Special guests will be featured delivering warm messages of welcome, followed by a visual presentation and photo montage showcasing Project AIM and its evolution over these first twenty years. 

Time: 2:30–4 p.m. EST

Project AIM has a strong, esteemed and established alumni network. This event will feature alumni panelists who are experts in their fields.  They will share their successful journey, accomplishments in their professional fields, and offer tips to current students and other alums who may be seeking a career shift.  This event also features University Career Advisors who will provide tips to undergrad attendees.  Following the moderated panel, the event will offer focused breakout groups so that individuals can get specific feedback or advice not covered in the Q&A portion.  Collaborated by Office of Multicultural Affairs and University Career Services.

Time: 6–7:30 p.m. EST

As we close out this 20th Anniversary Celebratory Weekend, we invite all members of St. John’s, including Project Aim members, alumni, and friends of the program to attend our closing dance party!  Come reunite with old friends and meet new friends at the live dance party led by one of our esteemed alumnus, CEO, entrepreneur, celebrity DJ, and native New Yorker, DJ Zeke. This dance party will get your energy up as your vibe to the sky-high tones of reggae, hip-hop, salsa, reggaeton, techno, pop hits, and a master mix of global music.
