Consistent with the University's Vincentian mission, the Vincentian Mission Award is presented to an employee who exemplifies the following criteria:

Has been a full-time member of the University's faculty, administration, or staff for a minimum of six years;
Has evidenced a personal commitment to the Vincentian mission of the University through active and sustained service to others, "especially those lacking economic, physical, or social advantages," that is not related to their job responsibilities;
Has participated in programs within or outside of the University designed to foster development of a social consciousness that emphasizes the dignity and worth of all individuals, promotes social justice, seeks to alleviate poverty and the plight of the poor, and values the diversity of our society;
Has made a marked contribution to the growth and development of the University's Vincentian mission.
