Students Honored in Employment - SHiNE

The SHinE Award is given annually by the Office of Human Resources and Student Employment to deserving St. John’s University student workers who have consistently demonstrated exceptional qualities and skills in their on-campus job.  The award includes $500 (less applicable taxes), a certificate of recognition and invitation to an awards luncheon. In order to be eligible for nomination, a student worker must have completed two consecutive semesters of employment in his/her current department, be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA, full-time academic eligibility and work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Student workers may be classified as either Regular or Federal Work-Study; and both undergraduate and graduate student workers may be nominated. Students participating in study abroad or an academic internship for the current semester are still eligible for nomination.

Supervisors who wish to nominate an eligible student worker for this award should complete and submit this online nomination form within the open nomination period.  Questions may be directed to Darren Russell, Student Employment Manager, Office of Human Resources and Student Employment at [email protected].
